The Best Morning Worship Playlist To Start Your Day.

You’re either a morning person, or you’re like me and prefer hitting the snooze button a few times. It doesn’t help that my little ones still wake up during the night, but I can’t blame them entirely—I loved sleeping in even before my little blessings came along. Regardless of whether you love early mornings or prefer to hit snooze, it can sometimes be challenging to get up and focus on what truly matters: centering your heart on Jesus Christ. I’ve found that listening to worship music in the morning can be really helpful, so I’ve created the perfect playlist for that! Check out the best morning worship playlist to start your day!

How Does Worship Help Center Your Heart On What Matters?!

So why does worship help center your heart on what matters: centering your heart on Jesus Christ?

We are made to worship. It is what we are created and called to do. Scriptures in the Bible like Psalm 95:6, Psalm 150:1-6, 1 Peter 2:9, Philippians 3:3, John 4:24, Mathew 4:10, and Hebrews 13:15 points to that truth. Among countless other scriptures in the Bible!

Another beautiful example of this is Psalm 100:1-5.

“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his ; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture”

We can see in scripture there is a calling for us to give praise and worship and remember God’s enduring goodness and faithfulness. When we do this first thing upon waking, we are setting up our day to be in constant reflection of that. When we are in constant reflection of God’s goodness, we are really setting ourselves up for success to be the light bearers He calls us to be, and setting ourselves up for success in fulfilling our purpose.

Secondly, they are simply beautiful, and you can’t help but sing them over and over again, barring the truth of the songs in your heart.

Final Thoughts:

I don’t know about you, but this Mama needs the reminder of God’s faithfulness, goodness, and especially strength on those days when I am exhausted or days when I am getting to heart of my children. I can tell the difference on the days when I do not wake up and worship. I’ve come to rely on my morning worship and time spent with God to set the tone for my day. It really makes a positive impact on how I navigate through the rest of the day.

Another thing I do to ensure my heart is right at the start of my day is to pray. Before my feet even hit the floor, I lay in bed and pray for my day. I ask the Lord to guide me as a wife, mother, and friend. I pray for God to reveal His plans for me for the day and for safety during any outings we have planned. And lastly I pray to guide my children in all His ways.

We talked about worship and prayer, but a significant step to getting our hearts centered around Jesus is to read scripture and spend time in God’s Word. As a busy mama, I know these mornings don’t always go as planned. However, I have found that the Bible App has an option to turn the chapters into audio, allowing you to listen while doing dishes, folding laundry, or during any other free moments. This way, you can still immerse yourself in God’s Word and reflect on its teachings throughout your day.

I hope this has encourage you to start your mornings focused on centering your hearts around Jesus and our heavenly Father who deeply loves you and desires to have a relationship with you!
